the story

I bought this laptop second hand from JCM Concepts. Because he moves his laptops forward around every half year, I managed a fair deal for hardware that's only 6 months old. The laptop replaced Asuka because the latter was becoming seriously outdated. The new hardware allowed me to do all my tasks (including basic gaming). The laptop would eventually be used for general internet stuff, development, and later on, also a bit for work.

Initially, it ran Windows XP, but as I was rolling into Linux, I eventually switched over to Gentoo Linux. As for hardware, its 256 MB got doubled to 512 MB, and I bought a wireless PCMCIA adapter to be able to work without the hassle of dragging a network cable around.

Eventually, the hardware on this baby was becoming a little outdated as well. And my brother was in fact preying for this laptop, so I moved it forward, and that made some room for Sei.
