the story

As I was going off to college, and could not just take Misato with me (then I would leave my brothers without), I had need of a laptop. As luck would have it, Makro had a Compaq in offer. A quick trip to the Makro at Liege and around 1300 euros later, I was in the possession of this thingy, my very first laptop.

Initially, I used it mainly for school work and a bit of gaming. Later on, I kept the gaming to my home computer, and only did work on it, except for my Diablo II period, which I played a lot when not at home.

With the announcement of XP, I upgraded the RAM from 64 MB to 192 MB (which in fact was 8 MB short, because it was reserved for video RAM usage). When XP was released, I upgraded quite immediately. In the meantime, because the laptop did not have a NIC, I bought a PCMCIA card to cover that issue.

When I finished my education, 3 years later, the laptop became a bit too old, and was replaced with Maya. It got moved forward to my brother.
