With Misato being a bit outdated, it was time for a new computer. It was basically bought for a bit of gaming, although I also did some school work on it whenever I was not away.
It originally had 512 MB RAM on board, which was later expanded to 1 GB.
At first, it inherited the ATI Radeon 8500 from Misato, but that card broke down, and was replaced by a ATI Radeon Pro 9800, which really lifted up gaming to a new level: games such as Far Cry and Half-Life 2 never looked better.
With the purchase of Sakura, it replaced Misato as my development and multi-purpose linux server. A bit more later, when my brother moved out, and my equipment moved to my room, I purchased a TV tuner for it, and it became my media center, running MythTV on Gentoo Linux. That role got replaced by Tsuruya, and was thus retired.
